Current need is for volunteers with weekday, daytime availability

What you can do as a postpartum volunteer!

  • Provide non-judgmental support in a postpartum family’s home

  • Connect with a family for 12 weeks and visit for 2+ hours each week. Days and times per week are flexible with your schedule.

  • Support tasks includes:

    • Watch and care for baby/ies

    • Watch and care for sibling/s

    • Complete light housework (laundry, dishes, house pick-up)

    • Give the parent time for self care (nap, shower, etc.)

    • Provide companionship and emotional support

    • Help with meal preparation

We currently support families with newborns in Kent and Ottawa counties. If you live outside of these areas, please reach out to our Program Director, Kimber, at kimber@momsbloom.org.

"Spending time with this family is the highlight of my week. In giving a little of myself, I am receiving so much more in return!" - Lori, MomsBloom volunteer

MomsBloom has resumed in-home support to those that are able and willing to do so. We have established COVID-19 protocol with requirements and recommendations for all involved. We will only match volunteers and families that have aligning individual requirements.

“My volunteer is phenomenal. She has been a life-saver each week. She is such a warm person and willing to help wherever needed. I feel so blessed to have MomsBloom. It has made a world of a difference in this postpartum!”
