Postpartum Support Coordinator, Kent County

MomsBloom’s Postpartum Support Coordinator will be responsible for providing and coordinating quality postpartum support services to individuals and families in Kent County with an emphasis on high quality experiences for people who are often under-supported during their postpartum journey. This position will be part of our team of four Kent County staff members and 200+ volunteers.

This is a part-time, salaried non-exempt position starting at $26,000 annually and expected to work 20-25 hours per week. Benefits include a health stipend paid quarterly, 12 paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, flexible scheduling, unlimited sick time, and paid time off. This position is eligible for federal loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

This position is grant funded through local and state funding so it is subject to annual/biannual approval.

This position must be able to complete intake visits in family’s homes throughout Kent County several times per week. Mandatory office hours will be held 4-6 hours per week as scheduled by the leadership team. Other tasks and responsibilities will be completed remotely at the staff member’s home - reliable internet, transportation, and cell service is required.

Primary Responsibilities

Client Support & Case Management

  • Engage directly with postpartum clients to coordinate support – including volunteer service, resource navigation, and referrals

  • Conduct intake visits in family’s homes

  • Facilitate match management which includes check in throughout the match and support the families and volunteers during their time together

  • Utilize an online database system for volunteer and client management and documentation

  • Lead new volunteer trainings and participate in volunteer retention efforts (occasional evening and weekend)

  • Attend occasional outreach events to increase volunteer recruitment (occasional evening and weekend; a few times per year)

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including answering calls, preparing mailings, and printing and assembling training and program materials.

  • Perform data entry, and assist with reporting in our online database system and Google Drive

  • Additional tasks to be determined and assigned by the executive director and program director

Required Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to the mission of MomsBloom

  • Provide non-judgmental, high-quality support to families and individuals that may have different identities and beliefs than your own

  • Must be able to complete intake visits in family’s homes throughout Kent County with reliable transportation

  • Ability to work from your own home with reliable internet and cell service

  • Proficiency in Office Suite, Google Drive, and a strong ability to use online systems and documentation

  • Ability to self-manage tasks and projects, along with collaboratively working with MomsBloom staff and community partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional postpartum support experience (such as a doula, lactation consultant, postpartum nurse, etc.)

  • Experience working with and supporting individuals of backgrounds that are different than your own (including but not limited to racial and ethnic identity, differing religion, family structure, household income, etc.)

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
