Leadership Team
Kimber Wager
Executive Director
Kimber has been with us since 2018 working as an Admin Volunteer, and is now our Executive Director!
she/her
-
Kimber loves being outdoors in the warm weather with her kids and spending quality time with her family in northern Michigan. She studied social work at GVSU, where she became a Master’s Level Clinical Social Worker.
Postpartum support is important to Kimber because she saw the gap in services in her area when she was providing clinical social worker/counseling in family's homes. Kimber is part of the LGBTQ+ community which fuels her passion for equity. Postpartum support is especially important to her due to her own postpartum experience of not having a local village and feeling guilt when asking for help. Kimber sees the true impact we have been making on family’s mental health as well as the trust and support that we are building for BIPOC families.
Ilena Cheatom
Director of Programs
Ilena became our postpartum aide in June of 2024 and recently moved up to the Director of Programs!

Ilena is a mother of two boys and enjoys art, cooking and baking, and spending time with her friends and family. Ilena got her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration & Leadership from Cornerstone University. She also has a women’s ministry that focuses on building a community through unity, sisterhood, and empowerment.
Ilena believes that MomsBlooms aligns with her own morals and values. She has a huge heart for women, especially those who are going through what she has been through. Ilena loves connecting women so that they can find a village where everyone supports, grows, and thrives. The MomsBloom mission means so much to her because she knows what it’s like to have little to no support or resources while trying to raise children.

Megan loves expressing her creativity through macrame and DIY Projects and making memories with her two young kiddos. Megan got her Bachelor of Social Work degree from NMU while having the privilege of working with individuals across all age groups and diverse backgrounds.
She enjoys individualizing support and getting to know people for who they are and has found that MomsBloom uses a positive and impactful way to do that. After recognizing the need for postpartum support following her own postpartum journeys, Megan was thrilled to find an organization that is prioritizing that need and finding a solution to support families in our community.

Match Support Specialist
-
A fun fact about Ashley is that she is the oldest child of 10 kids on her father’s side and she loves everything self-care. Ashley started with Momsbloom back in 2023 as a postpartum aid helping families in their home. She then took on the position of our Postpartum Support Coordinator for Kent County.
Ashley loves working at MomsBloom because she feels she gets to be a second or third set of hands to families that are in need of support. Postpartum support is so important to her because she also suffered in her postpartum stage of having her son. Ashley wished she had the extra help through her journey of recovery from birth and so she believes that everyone deserves a community to help them without judgement.
Becca French
Match Support Specialist
she/her
Becca is our other Match Support Specialist and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Social Work at Michigan State University.
-
She holds a degree in Art Therapy and is deeply passionate about supporting mental health—especially for moms and parents who often face the challenges of raising children without the support or resources they truly deserve.
She loves expressing herself through art and music, spending time outdoors, and sharing quality moments with her husband and their Aussie Doodle.
Becca is committed to creating safe, nonjudgmental spaces where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered. She cares deeply about walking alongside parents during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives and believes that even small moments of support can have a lasting impact—not just for the parent, but for the child as well. Becca feels a strong connection to the mission of Moms Bloom, as it reflects her belief in the power of community and the importance of helping one another thrive.

Meghan is a mom of five and has been raising her family since becoming a parent at 19. Before joining MomsBloom, she worked as an Associate Marketing Specialist for the world’s largest furniture manufacturer, where she focused on sales and account management within the industry. Along the way, she has also led moms groups, been active in efforts to combat human trafficking, and serves as a Revelation Wellness instructor, part of a nonprofit faith based fitness organization.
Meghan’s connection to MomsBloom began as a client in 2022 after the birth of her fifth child, when she experienced severe postpartum depression and received support through the program. That experience shaped her desire to give back. Since then, she has served as a postpartum aide in 2024, a match support specialist in 2025, and now supports the organization as Volunteer Coordinator.
She values the deeply supportive, non judgmental culture at MomsBloom and strives to lead with empathy in her work. Meghan is passionate about community and is grateful to be part of the village that once supported her and her family.
